From 5 to 2

This is a short video clip of myself and Maddie Tagg explaining our journey, we have had many experiences with our media course this year with people leaving our group, so therefore we thought we would explain briefly how we approached the situations, we made many alterations and changes throughout our planning and filming for our AS thriller, therefore the video shortly explains how we have held up and carried on going.

Teenagers and the media

As a group myself, Maddie Tagg and Georgia Limb have created a presentation about teenagers and the media, overall it is how teenagers are represented through many different programmes and the general information on teenagers. This relates to our physiological thriller as our target audience are 15 year olds and above, therefore they need to be mature enough to understand the plot and the dangers. Hope you enjoy!

Our Audience

I have made a Prezi presentation on our audience for our psychological thriller opening. Hope you enjoy!

How music changes the feel

I have studied how different types of music can change the feel in the way the movie is perceived. I have made a short clip showing a slow motion shot of my friend going down a slide on a pedlo whilst we was on holiday. I have used Happy music, Heroic music, Sad music and scary music to show how the music is used to show the mood and feel of the event. I made this clip using iMovie on my phone and used the songs provided and my songs. Music is key in a film or any time of video, this is because it clearly portrays the feel and what type of mood they are trying to create. For example scary music with suspense is usually used in horror films to create a tense atmosphere to the rest of the film. This has helped me with developing the sound on our physiological thriller as the music and sound effects need to be very fast and tense to build suspense to the kidnapping scene. Using different styles of music is used to manipulate our emotions and perhaps lead us down the wrong path. The second example wasn't created by myself, however through my research I found it, and it is a great example of how music can play on our minds.
